Safeguarding & your data

Tonbridge Juniors is an FA-affiliated club and the welfare of every child comes first. This page explains how to raise a concern, and — in plain English — exactly what this website does and doesn't store.

Raising a concern

If you're ever worried about a child's safety or wellbeing, speak to your team's coach, or ask to be put in touch with the club Welfare Officer. Concerns are taken seriously and handled confidentially.

Your coach will share the club Welfare Officer's name and contact, and the wider Tonbridge Juniors safeguarding policy is on the main club site.

In an emergency, or if a child is at immediate risk, call 999. You can also contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.

Respect on the sideline

We follow the FA's Respect code: cheer effort not just goals, let the coaches coach and the referee referee, and remember it's the children's game. At this age there are no published scores or league tables — it's all about enjoying football and improving.

Photographs

This website never publishes photographs or names of children. Photos in The Kit Room are of the kit only — please don't include children in them. If a coach ever wants to share a team photo elsewhere, they'll ask your permission first.

What this website stores

We keep this deliberately minimal. In plain terms:

  • Fixtures, training & the calendar — contain no child or parent details at all; they're the same for everyone.
  • Forms (registration, kit requests, messages, feedback) go privately to the coaches — they're never shown on the website.
  • “Can your child play?” replies use a private link we send you — no login. Your child's first name and their reply are visible to the coaches only, never to other parents or the public.
  • The Kit Room — your name and contact on a listing go to the coaches only; only the item and its photo appear publicly, and only after a coach approves it.
  • Match results the coaches log are for the coaches' own records and are not shown publicly.

What we don't do: no logins or accounts for parents, no advertising, no third-party trackers or analytics following you around, and we never sell or share your details. You can ask a coach to remove your child from the reply list, or delete a kit listing, at any time.
